Simply drag and drop MP3 or DRM-free WMA files onto your microSD card. You can also use media software like Windows MediaPlayer to create your mix. Sansa slotMusic Player cannot read playlist files such as .m3u files.

    If you make your own card the files must be in MP3 or WMA format. The WMA files must be DRM free otherwise known as “in the clear” or “unprotected”. If you have files you’ve ripped from your CD collection they will be DRM free. If you copied files that you downloaded from a music service they may be protected and will not play in the Sansa slotMusic Player. MP3 files are usually your best bet to avoid any confusion. You don’t have to worry about DRM with MP3s.

    Your Sansa slotMusic Player runs off a single AAA battery. It comes with a non-rechargeable battery, but you can use a rechargeable AAA battery if you like. The player is not capable of charging batteries.

    When your AAA battery dies, no harm is done to the player or card. Simply remove the player’s shell, remove the old battery, insert a fresh AAA battery, and slide the shell back on. Please recycle your old battery.

An easy way to identify a slotMusic card is to look for the slotMusic logo. A generic microSD card will not have the slotMusic logo.
